Tim's Before Winter Comes Back Ride

Hi There, Have some pictures from today's ride to Dee's Restaurant in Vernon, FL. Tim wanted to ride this weekend, and Sunday looks to be a washout due to rain and thunderstorms being predicted. So he gathered up a few Sandollars, and we mostly met at Good Things Donuts (GTD). Tim W, Howard W, and I (Joejoe)met at GTD, with a few of us enjoying some drinks and morning snacks before the ride

On the way north on Hwy 285, we met up with Tommy N, who completed today's riding crew. Tim took us on a merry jaunt through the woods in the northern parts of the Florida panhandle. Vernon is about 78 miles from Fort Walton Beach, but somehow Tim stretched it out to 100 miles. I got to get up close to nature too, as a deer wanted to say "Hi" from about 4 feet from the road surface along the way.

We all had a very good meal at Dee's, and Howard had to get home, so he made his own way home after lunch. The rest of us walked around the Vernon town square/park viewing several heritage items and then crossed the square to visit the local dive shop. After our visit, we took a semi-direct route back to Fort Walton Beach, but still got to see some more woods and nature along the way. It was another very enjoyable ride led by Tim.
