Sandies riding the backroads

ABOUT THE
SAND DOLLAR MOTORCYCLE CLUB

Anyone with a valid motorcycle endorsement and can maintain highway speeds, is welcome to join us. We are safety conscious, helmets are mandatory and alcohol is prohibited until the ride ends.

ABOUT US

The Sand Dollar M/C has been promoting and enjoying motorcycle activities since 1980. We are the premier           chartered street club on the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast.

We welcome riders of all experience levels and all different makes of motorcycles. If it has 2 or 3 wheels, can maintain highway speeds, and can be operated safely then it (and you) will fit right in. We don’t care what you ride, but that you ride.

Are you looking for great motorcycle roads in the area? Chances are that the Sandies have traveled it coming and going. We do not know the meaning of putting the bike up for the winter. We ride year-round and plan something almost every weekend. Sometimes we have a particular destination in mind, often it is just to ride. Most day rides are anywhere from 80 to 180 miles long. We tend to go where the roads and weather takes us. Since 1999, we have ridden over 2.4 million miles together as a club, and the miles keep ticking!

Club rules are simple “be safe and have fun”.

Motorcycle safety has always been a top priority for us. Our Skills Sundays are great fun and low key. We spend the morning practicing skills that may save our lives on the road and sharpening our safety awareness. The only person you will compete with is yourself. We urge every rider remember that motorcycle skills, especially those used in an emergency situation, are perishable. Your skills will only stay as sharp as the frequency they are practiced and used.

We love to eat; if the place serves good food and a hot cup of coffee, we’ll go visit. Often times the lines are blurred and it is hard to determine if we are a motorcycle club with an eating addiction or an eating club with a motorcycle addiction.

We typically host one poker run each year. All proceeds benefit local charities that provide services for the elderly and families in need within our community.

Our club is made up of motorcycle enthusiasts who share a passion for riding and promoting safe motorcycle practices. We believe in the importance of giving back to our community and supporting local charities. We care about each member, and are concerned with the safety of the group at all times. We count on each other to take care of us and our bike if all goes wrong -  and Murphy’s Law says it will at some point.

Being a Sandie means being part of a family.

Meet the
EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Executive Board is responsible for running the day to day club business operations. They manage all of the things that the rest of us tend to forget about. Each officer brings their own unique vision to the club and it can be seen in everything we do.
