DITTO !

I use the word DITTO because my description from last week pretty well sums it up.  The weather outstanding, the countryside simply beautiful. Every pecan tree ( us pronunciation) was in full swing growing new leaves then that leads  to the famous pecan ( Georgia pronunciation). Seven Sandies did 187miles of lovely spring roads. They only got better when the Prince of Trails ( Tim W) took over the route back.

We had a very nice couple join us  Brigit and Randy Lovell, just moved here from Illinois. Joejoe has a nice picture of the couple in the photos. Couple of things they didn’t run screaming into the night, said they loved the roads. Very enjoyable to ride with, Randy is a good bike handler and Brigit is an outstanding pillion warmer.

Ken C joined us in Crestview a note here if you watch Tim’s videos of the trip. You will see Ken handling that Goldwing so smoothly. As a matter of fact everyone was just gliding on the fresh asphalt.  The videos taken from the back showing everyone gives a much better perspective to the ride. Tim uses first class equipment and it shows.

We ate at the Wheelhouse, in Opp Al. Yes that Opp, you would never expect to find an establishment like The Wheelhouse. Especially in a small southern Alabama town. Also Opp is making progress dubious at best, they tore down the iconic Dairy Queen and built a Jacks, progress ? . Food was very good, service first class, on the list for return visit.

The Prince took over homeward duties. Tim did not disappoint excellent road choices. Did a few I hadn’t seen in a dogs age, all first class riding.

We had a great time, with roads and spring like vistas don’t forget outstanding riding companions.

Sorry I missed it. Got some family things happening in Georgia... Where they know how to enunciate pecan!
