A Snow Day

This is the first “Snow Day” ride re-scheduling the Sandies have ever had in 46 years. Yes, we have had snow before just never during a scheduled ride.

This brings us to yesterday, “The Community Convoy “ it was to raise money for a FWBFD firemen that lost his wife during childbirth. A couple of things stand out, massive community support and tremendous support from the motorcycle community.

Five Sandies showed up to support a good cause. Met at the Block, well Sam and I left from GTD as scheduled. Bobby and JoeJoe met us at the Block. Also a prospective Sandie joined us. She has been riding for about 15 years and it showed on the ride to Emerald Coast Harley Davidson, rode well.

Good ride over every intersection was blocked either by FWBPD or OCSO deputies. Got to the Harley shop, oh did you see the Official picture used to promote the event ? Well it’s on the Sandie Website and it prominently features Sandies. It was a shame it left me out but it got everyone else. We’re the only Spyders there by the way. Oh while at the Harley shop I noticed our own JoeJoe talking to salesman. It seems that Harley has finally brought out a bike that checks off all of JoeJoe’s boxes, so? Bobby was acting like a surrogate salesmen explaining to JoeJoe the benefits of a new Ride.

The Harley shop really did a great job on this event, I appreciate the job done by the folks at Emerald Coast Harley .

We will do the re-scheduled “Beach Ride” which has morphed into “The Camp Ride” . Leave GTD at 9 am next Sunday.
